I am afraid
Afraid of change
Afraid of the unknown
So please
Be patient with me
I try, honest
But that first step is so much more difficult than it seems
The future looms ahead like a black beast

Afraid i might lose sight of who I am
So please
Be patient with me
I love you
That was the first step
Now i must learn to love myself
I trust you
That was the second step
Now i must learn to trust myself
It is so difficult to see myself through someone elses eyes
I can only see through the eyes of the mirror
But I promise i will try

    Trust is important.I personally trust myself first and rarely will I trust others totally.I love the openess of this poem.You express your insecurity and trepidation well.Thanks for the comment on my poem concrete.
