Remember to Forget

Imagination eats the memory
Blanks seat assumptions
Contradictions can’t be invited
This reception excludes the debating race

Intentions are mortified by simplicity
The plate of other’s decisions
They transform within the molds of physics
Psychological disorder from earthly abstractions

Don’t forget
Digest the brochure of isolation
Distracting the flavor of reality
Read the sensation of the past
Ripping copies from the pages
Fantasy fills folded paper cups

Drink to the delights
Would you prefer a drunk or sober soda
Happiness and horror spill between the two
From swimming thoughts
The gas of air above
The liquid of the beverage
To the empty solid bottom of the cup

Forget the science of history

Physical always fades

Solid always dies

Dream completion

Hallucinate everything

    Welcome to Allpoetry!

I suppose if we were to hallucinate everything then even this poem is just in my own reality. And I have come to it in need of transforming my thoughts into your words. So who’s to say if this is real or not!?! In my paper cup, I will take the drunk soda… I loved the pondering this write evoked in me. Nice work Dove

    Welcome to allpoetry

Some philosophers would argue that all reality is just an illusion any way. Just one big hallucination that our mind creates to interact with other minds. This reminded me of those theories. Thanks for sharing!

I encourage you to keep writing. To read and comment.

    God Bless

Yeah, i'm interested a lot in philosophy so that's probably how my mind got on the track of writing a poem like this. Not to mention psychology. I haven't really read any of those theories, but being interested in that area, certainly makes it easier to find.
