Who is Martin Luther King Jr.

He was more than an average person
He changed our lives

He was a person everyone
could depend on

He didn't believe in segragation,
descrimination, or slavery too

He believed in equality
for everyone

He told everyone to love
their enemies but hate what they do

Only 11! Very impressive. I especially liked the line:

    "He told everyone to love
their enemies but hate what they do"

That is so like the mind of Christ. A very mature line for an 11 year old.

Your poem is nice. Please read the instructions again though and make sure you follow all the steps.

    One Love,

    John

    This is so true

I love this poem. I am an American Indian so in history I know what it means to be a slave. This is very powerful poem and, I love the message within it.
I dedicated that poem "If I Were A Princess In A Castle" to your little girl. When I was a little girl I used to dream about being a princess.

You are far too young to have known this pillar in our midst but it seems that somewhere, somehow his spirit graced your life. This is beautiful and your last line is true but we still mus pray for those who act hateful. Maybe our prayers will soften their hearts. A wonderful tribute to this giant of a man is written here little Poet. I am adding you to my favorites list along with your mom. God Bless!

    excellent

Very nice. Martin Luther King was all these things and more. He sounded an echo and left a legacy that is incomparable. Such inspirational courage and wisdom came from this young man and I don't think there will ever be someone as magnificent as he was. Thanks for sharing this and good luck in the contest. Brian
