Her wrists show where
Her heart has been
The more she thinks about him
The sicker she gets
She can't eat, sleep or even think
Her wrists show where
Her heart has been
Afarid to admit it to the world
or even to herself
Fearing the scars would drive them away.
Her wrists show where
Her heart has been
Under all the bracelets
Covering the skin he once loved
To scared to show the world
Her wrists show where
Her heart has been
She can't make it go away
She only wishes she could
A heart can only break so much
Her wrists tells us a tale
Of a heart that never recovered.
Of the pain she feels inside but
Cant make it show.
Her wrists show where
Her heart has been
Author notes

incredible.
this is a great poem and i can relate just like so many others. i used to cut. and it seemed like it helped so much. but now i look back on it and all i see is the scars that i can't ever make go away. they're perminent just like the memories. you're a great writer, use that to express your feelings, not your wrists. anyway, this poem is a real eye opener, and had me hooked from the beginning. i especially liked the lines "Covering the skin he once loved, To scared to show the world" really compelling. beautiful writing.
take care and tahnks for commenting mine. <3
