The potter called unto his servants,
his minute Muses.
To inspire his Athenian psyche,
to construct a woman.
She would be his heart's Empress,
his everlasting wish.
Pygmalion never did ponder,
his singularity would he miss.
his minute Muses.
To inspire his Athenian psyche,
to construct a woman.
She would be his heart's Empress,
his everlasting wish.
Pygmalion never did ponder,
his singularity would he miss.
Author notes
This style of poetry is one I created.
It's called an Octoquain.
Rules of the Octoquain:
1. 8 Lines (no more, no less)
2. The 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 8th lines must gradually move on in syllable count. The 2nd line must be five syllables, the 3rd must be six syllables, the 5th must be seven syllables and the 8th line must be 8 syllables.
