Dancing.
All shades of
red,
orange,
yellow.
They flow and change with the direction of the wind.
The aura it disperses
Lights the way into the dark
And frames it's every curve.
The heat is beyond compare.
Soothing,
warming,
emitting from the fire's core.
Water sprinkled from the clouds above
attempting to pierce the flames...
The impenetrable blaze,
danced on,
flowed on.
Red.
Orange.
Yellow.
Prance as strong as ever.

I picked this because of all that I know about you. You've had a love, I know that didn't quite work out for you but you still blaze on. ^_^

I am really impressed with the symbolism and metaphor in this poem. Your descriptions are wonderful...I can see the dancing flame before me as I read, and the representation of love is very deep. I also liked the layout of the lines, which seemed to add to the beauty of the words. Yes...a very impressive piece of poetry. I haven't read any of the entries that were in the contest you entered this in, but I can honestly say I'd give my right arm to have had this quality of poetry in some of the contests I've held. A piece I will be bookmarking...
