The Secret Admirer

Your thoughts are clear as ice
the skies predict your need;
I watch the clouds and say out loud,
"you're full of desire and greed."

You enjoy the way I smile
an extension to rosy cheeks;
it's safe to say I'm great this way
but too smart for your techniques.

You spy on my every move
a dark shadow in my light;
It takes a fool to fill my fuel
claiming love at first sight.

I know your means of trickery
are only meant for the dense;
I'll take those compliments
and report them as an offense.

Author notes

I haven't written any poetry in a while (and submitted it) and my friend decided to start a competition where we write about the same subject and see where it goes.

Subject: Perception of an admiration.

Please tell me what you think

    Amazing as usual

    And thus, you win. Nice ending though, it sounds like something you might write actually. Overall it's just as good as most every other poem you've written, even those crazy ones that make no sense. They are all quite great in the end.
