Lost within a dark pine forest
I discover you
Huddled up under a tree
Gazing pensively
Into emptiness
I walk towards you
Beckoned by a mysterious glimmer
Echoing from within
the watery depths of your eyes
With a mystical glow, they shimmer deeply
Lamps lighting the pathway to your soul
Here, my soul meets your’s
Our eyes interlock
And immediately,
I understand
While the empathy within my eyes
Sings you a sweet song,
A story dances deep within your eyes
A tale spanning far beyond
The realm of words
Like a gypsy’s crystal ball
One can gaze deeply within
Foresee the future,
Relive the past,
And understand the hidden present.
Stained glass tears trickle down
In a glimmering glow of sorrow
Light beaming in on one end,
And unfathomable darkness on the other
With my heart I reach,
Embracing you in warmth
Answering finally
Your eyes’ deepest yearning

The eyes have it, by Moonlit-Reverie
Eyes are one of my favorite topics (I think this is my 3rd poem featuring eyes) and I've always been intrigued by communication taking place like this without words. Intrigued is not a strong enough word; I actually believe everyone's eyes have a story to tell and cannot lie or remain silent as we can with words.

Very beautiful and so true! This is very well written and I love the imagery and background here. The eyes are very special and unique parts of our body. They tell so much about us and the way that we are feeling. Even though we don't say anything at all. This is a great interpretation of the eyes and a very fitting title. Wonderful work here and keep it up! Thank you for sharing this here!

This stanza entranced me, enveloped me and really hooked me on the poem. I am not sure why and I think that it just grabbed ahold of my heart. I love the title, it feels very appropriate for this write -

Absolutely Profound
Excellent work with this poem, the imagery is beautiful. I too love poems about the raw unrestained emotion that one may catch a glimpse of while looking into the deep pools of someone's eyes. I admire this work, it was gentle with a harmony that not many can capture. Again, I applaud you!
