I think I’ll rip the couch today
It’s really been a while
And maybe I’ll chew moldy sticks
And throw up on the tile
I have not been house-trained quite yet
I “go” wherever I please
I always share with everyone
My chiggers, ticks, and fleas
These shoes and slippers taste so good!
I’ve gone through ten so far
Then I’ll spend a good few minutes
Chasing all the neighbors’ cars
I’ll tear up all the wastebaskets
And all the beds of flowers
And look up at the clock to see
They’ve been gone but an hour

First off, I'm 16 years old
I happen to own a beagle and writing this reminded me of when he was a puppy and was(and still is) a handful.

Thank you for entering my contest.
A truly lovely poem that made me smile…I love that you have chosen the puppy's point of view; the poem flows nicely and retains the readers' attention all through the reading. A keen sense of humor. I myself am not fond of rhyme, so I will not comment on that but the style is very good, so is the grammar and no misspellings.
You are a young writer with much promise.
I enjoined this very much – thanks for your gift!
Best to you,
rachel

this is so funny. A very cute poem and believe me, I've had a puppy or two who must have been thinking these same thoughts.
Good job with this delightful piece

Sounds like my dog when we first brought him home. He used to get sick a lot, especially carsick. We bought him in Louisiana when we were there visiting some family, and so driving him home was really interesting. Great work, I like this write.
