I thought it was another angel when she first touched me face,
The touch felt so good, with such gentleness, with such grace.
I grabbed her finger tightly, when she touched my hand,
Why a tear fell from her eye, I do not understand.
On my first day of school, she cried once more,
I wished she would stop, because it was her smile that I adored.
Every book, every toy, she got me everything,
Whenever I got sad, happiness only she could bring.
But whenever she got angry, the whole place shook,
She could make me tremble, with just one angry look.
Then I’d start crying, and she’s take me by the hand,
She’d say she was sorry, and didn’t mean to reprimand.
She gave me courage, and she made me strong,
The unconditional love she gave never will be gone.
When my grandmother died, I saw her crying once again,
I could see the sorrow in her eyes, the grief and the pain.
Mama, why did you cry so much? Please tell me why?
Please don’t ever cry like that, Mama, please don’t cry.

This certainly shows a man's soft under belly and you aren't afraid to expose yours. I liked the subject matter and it almost made me cry. Mother's are great (usually)
thanks for this great reminder and the entry.
