"Taking a break from riding my scooter"

I hear chirping
I hear cars running on the roads
I hear crickets
I feel the wind
and I hear the trees rustling
I see houses, no forests
and I smell the fresh air
like atmosphere
smell something bitter like meat plant
or something
I heard a bee buzz
and I heard the wings flapping of a bird.

Out of the mouths of babes thou hast perfected praise.
    Wonderful!

  • This is cute
It reminded me of my little brother. He comes in the house and says "I'm taking a break from riding my scooter. Who wants to play my video game with me?"
    Lol.

Awww this is so cute. I love reading about what kids have to say. They look at the world through different eyes than adults. Loved it. Thank you for sharing.

I see trees of green........ red roses too
I see em bloom..... for me and for you
And I think to myself.... what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue..... clouds of white
    Bright blessed days....dark sacred nights
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world.

The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty ..in the sky
Are also on the faces.....of people ..going by
I see friends shaking hands.....sayin.. how do you do
    Theyre really sayin......i love you.

I hear babies cry...... I watch them grow
Theyll learn much more.....than Ill never know
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world

    (instrumental break)

The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty ..in the sky

I see forests and feels of green,
if you look closely, sheep can be seen.
I see the road, which ruins the land,
I wish I saw sea, birds and sand!!!

Well done little man, this is beautiful, a Poet in the making xxx

this piece actually makes you aware of everything around you and that's one of the best skills one could have. make him observe more. it's healthy too, to stop and just listen and see and smell and absorb.
this piece actually makes the reader observe his or her own surroundings..
    let's see,
i hear the whistle of a cooker.
i hear the rhythmic sweep of a broom.
    i hear voices in conversation.
i hear my fingers punching the keyboard.
i hear the whirring of the fan.
i hear the engine of a motorbike.
i hear hum of the CPU.
i hear utensils falling in the distance.
and i see lines and colours in combination...
    and so much more..

    coolio!
    i feel fresh!

    thanks for this interactive piece!

Your son is going to be a poet, I'm sure! Seems he's really good at observing things.
It was really interesting to read about what he saw, heard and smelled. Kind of cute to think of an eight year old saying this.
