What maketh a Hero
to rise above?
Is it truth or honour?
Is it love?
What maketh them super
above me or you?
What makes them better
than what they do?
Invincible power
Incredible health
Sometimes they're mutant
or just born into wealth
But there's something else
there's something within
that makes them better
than the average villain
Although mythical creatures
they embody a presence
A trait they feature
A purified essence
A noble cause
An unright avenged
And sometimes honour
Sates their revenge
Weakness prevailed
Aliases hidden
Carnal pleasures
are forlornly forbidden
Discipline halts them
to do what they could
To silence that evil
and stop it for good

As a fellow superhero lover, I think this piece is great. Good job.

Wonderful.
Reminds me of my childhood years and who my most greatest superheroes were...Wonder Woman....Supergirl...
Brings me back to those times!!

This piece is very well realised, great flow, great metre and good rhyming. It is difficult to keep these under control at the best of times, yet this piece manages all three.
The wording is good, fitting the subject matter very well, effectively getting the ideas and points across.
Good write and congrats on gold.

*Masterpiece*
Wow, this one is amazing. It truly explains the lives of superheros and why they are portrayed as being so much "better" than us as human beings. This poem was so well described, perfect wording for it. Loved the last stanza.
