I know my love is wasted on her
But she enchanted me from the start.
First she was married and flirted with me
And I ached in my heart.
I knew she was not for myself
But she led me and I followed her into Eden.
Again my heart ached for her
And she gave me a taste of the forbidden fruit.
I accept she will disappear from heart
But the happy future looks so far away.
Maybe if we were not so far apart
She would dare to love me and stay.
Author notes
Inspired by Janice, a friend whom I fell in love with. I wonder how much of it was love and how much was me wanting to rescue her form her dire circumstance

not really something to wish for, if anything forget such love only one love can ever trully exist, and this is false.

I love your poems. All seem to refer to some experience in your life. Isn't that what poetry is about?
