I hear you in every word that passes from unknown lips
I can still taste you on the breeze, though the air has grown stale
I see you every waking moment, before everything you are etched
When I sleep all I dream is you, every night since you left
Everytime I step outside, I fancy that I smell you on the wind
And everytime something brushes past me, for one moment I think it's you
In the morning when I wake up, I wonder why you're not next to me
I stare at the ceiling and I remember that night
When I got that phonecall, that told me you were dead
And I have to relive every awful moment that followed
Each time is as painful as the first time
I can't accept that you're gone but I wish I wouldn't forget
Because everytime I remember, I wish it was me that was dead.
