Standing in a crowd of loving family and friends
A man can feel lonely, lost,
But when an angel smiles down from Heaven's heights
In a day that's Tempest tossed,
The Comforter soothes the soul, Christ is brought
To touch a living man
Like Lazarus coming forth, when called by Him, laughter rings,
From a joyous heart, love-filled,
For memories ebb and flow, an endless tide
God in His kindness has willed
With His strength a man stands tall and tilts
To kiss angelic lips
Onward soldier, you must go
Marching exuberantly into this life
Comfort others, so you must,
Taking you from your woe
Silent angel, earthly wife
Witness of your perfect trust
Go forth with God at your side
Humming a lively angelic tune of love
Reach out for happiest Truth
In Love there is no pride
For a heart beats loudly in Heaven above
As you regain your youth
A man is never alone when an angel smiles
And Christ is holding his hand

COMFORTING
How very nice of you to write this for your friend. Very assuring piece, for He will never leave us. It's strange that we sometimes remove our hand from His and feel all alone, but He is always there. The title says it all. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us.
