Escape

Have you ever felt the breeze
Touch your skin so tenderly?
Have you ever walked on golden sands?
Have you ever felt relieved?
In front of the ocean,
In front of the sound of the waves,
I am so far from those beautiful places,
I am in a rushing city,
Where everything must be fast,
I want to leave this place,
And be at the shore of a roaring ocean.

Swimming pools and little kids laughing,
Slides and fountains,
A hotel room that faces all the fun
Things happening outside,
The sound of teenagers screaming
As they head for the beach
And the quiet nights where
There's no cars honking their horns
And no feeling of I have to get up
And study or work.

Dinning rooms,
Violins playing and people
With wine glasses,
The sound of someone getting married
At one of those reserved hotel halls,
The sound of cars arriving and tourists entering
And the looks of handsome guys walking into
The hotel,
With tuxedos and ties,
What a wonderful place to be.

I want to be there,
I want to escape,
I want to close my eyes
And open to a place
I've dreamt of being.
