Emptiness

Missing image
Echoes of passion treading
the brilliant ocean floor.
Unspoken emptiness, pain
as the briny tide rises
I dropped a tear…..

It harbored my heart like
broken like grains of sand.
Graciously ebbing precious
memories of yesterday
I dropped a tear……

Alone I gait in quiet existence
long ebony locks windblown.
The sweetness of our kisses
Extending the seven seas
I dropped a tear…….

Lost at sea you shall never be
darling come back.
Atrocious waves release my love
sending him home
I drop a tear…..

You touched the depth of heart through the images and the sentiments as well..I love this piece..there is a vividness of highlighting the
various sentiments focused one by one and that is the strength of this poem..well done...

What a sad yet beautiful write

    This stance is what I felt made the poem so deep;
"Alone I gait in quiet existence
    long ebony locks windblown.
    The sweetness of our kisses
    Extending the seven seas
    I dropped a tear……."

You have a wonderful ways with words. LISA
