Remnants

Missing image

Remnants of oceanic memories

drift within waves of thought,

surging forward

to softly caress starlight

with infinite imagination,

illumination from night's

gently hued & hewn horizon,

lovely

in its presence & meaning.

I have been guided

throughout Time's tempest,

swaying with sunlit souvenirs,

swirling

& lost

within the sea's pulse.

We are simply shells

overflowing

with beautiful souls

trembling

as the currents

carry us all

towards a different, distant shore,

our echoes resounding

with serenity & strength...

    Very good

You process a poetic soul that sees magic in life, absorbing all its beauty whilst quietly dispersing this treasure to others. Your words manage to capture a state of being or a philosophy of life and wrestle it to the paper before is vanishes from our sphere of appreciation. It is well written with powerful imagery that liberate its presents from the page and enters our soul with ease of skill and familiarity.

    amazing ...
this poem joins a dream I had last night : I was watching the screen of a tv, when my little brother joined me ... suddenly, an ancient scene appeared, where an elderly lady of native american face-features and grey hair was next to a little boy who had also grey hair and a very mature face (like a sage) ... she held a ritual of initiation, where both immerged themselves completely in the water ...
when I woke up, I thought that it might be a former life-time where my brother and I were united ...

ps. my little brother maxi(milian) was born on december 10th 2007 to my father (aged 65 and my step-mother esther, aged 36) ... he appeared already in a dream before he was born, as a young boy who was a sage and who initiated me through a ritual of trance-dance ...

your poem brings me back the same feeling of oneness and bliss that this soul-union with my little brother makes me feel ...

thank you so much for listening to me,
    I love you,

    marion

i love the gentle nature of this piece- the fragile shells we are composed of.. so easily
broken on rocks- so easily washed to sea- to shores
we don't necessarily want to go to.. yet we go

    lovely
