Any living being has
Both body and force behind it
Which runs the body.
This force in the form of life
Makes it different from matter.
Body itself without this force
Is as good as matter.
This has the power to run,
Motivate and give energy to perform.
All this is true
Whether the life is of human or animal.
This force does not work
In any nonliving form in this manner.
This force is of soul.
So even animal has soul.
Only it is at a lower stage
With respect to man.
In mankind also there are people
Whom we call similar to beasts,
Because of their cruel nature.
But they have soul.
Similarly animal has soul.
Animal by effort can get human life,
As human by wrong deed can become animal.

makes sense to me...everything living must have a soul...after all...we have them...why not...them

I was a little lost by the penultimate line but that isn't a surprise since I am easily lost. The last line of course makes perfect sense, I've seen far too many people acting more like animals than humans. And of course your force and body premise makes sense to me, though I wouldn't know how to define the former, personally.
