To search for

Drugged to
And screaming
Asking for help
Anything to get you out

With consequences
Excuses and fences
To lock away the outside
And lose touch of being fine

An impulse
With scars
Little slits and marks
Lots of blood or none at all
When you live on this, you began to fall
The impact when you hit the ground
Is greater the next time around

An impulse
Where’d it go
It was all I know
But I woke up today with a smile
And now its been a while
Since that impulse has been my savior
