And when the Children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is Manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the Bread which the LORD has given you to eat (EX. 16:15)
The Manna prefigured the descent of the True Bread, of Which if a man eat he shall live forever (Jn. 6:51). It was a test of appetite and of obedience. In Egypt, Isreal had slave food; in the desert, Angel's food. The test quickly revealed that the natural man has not appetite for Heavenly things. The people soon called it "light food."
The Manna was so precious that it could not bear contact with the earth. It fell upon the dew and had to be gathered ere the sun was up, and freshly every morning. Yesterday's Manna did not do for today, nor today's for tomorrow (Num., Chapter.9) Thus, must the Christian fee upon Christ everyday, as He reveals Himself in the Scriptures (Lk. 9:23-24)
Isreal in the desert presents a striking picture! Egypt behind them, Canaan before them, the wilderness around them, and the Manna above them. They were a Heaven-born people and a Heaven-bound people, they ate Heaven-baked Bread.
In Looking back toward Egypt, they murmured; when looking forward toward the Wilderness, they saw the Glory of the Lord.
Jesus as the Bread of Life, and He Alone is, can only be had by virtue of the Cross. As we have repeatedly stated, Christ is the Source, while the Corss is the means. (Eph. Chapter 1.)

yes great message.very good.we need daily manna to give us strength daily. so lets eat.By eating daily On GODS manna of his word we can stand firm in times where the wilderness gets hard,Grow closer to our LORD,and to ourselves.GOD's manna reveals things in us that we may not see otherwise.It draws us near to JESUS.Reminds us daily how we are to live pleaseing to our heavenly father,and reminds us how without him we are notheing and have notheing.Assures us,with him we have life.GOD's manna contains all the vital incredients,and nutrients we need while we are here in the wilderness of this world..It is our source in every area of our lives.without it we become weary and week in our sin.

I love the message that Manna needs to be fresh every day. like old bread, our faith can become stale and tasteless. we need fresh revelation daily..feeding on God's Word.
