A Dream Come True

She always wanted to be a part of the symphony but,

her painful hands prevented her from playing.

Her voice wasn't as great as she claimed it to be,

for a while it seemed hopeless for her to become a musician.

She knew that deep down music was her special gift,

somehow she would find a way to share it with the world.

She pondered every night and prayed for an answer,

hoping for the miraculous talent she always wished she had.

She laid in bed early one night and closed her emerald eyes,

when she awoke the next morning she felt a pain in her neck.

She turned around and ran to her bathroom mirror,

where she found a tattoo of a bass cleft in the middle of her neck.

She was confused at the sight and didn't know how to react,

until she found her hands reaching for her dusty violin.

She picked it up along with her wooden bow and began to play,

she did so for hours and found herself lost in her newfound talent.

Tears streamed down her little cheeks as she realized for the first time,

that all of her dreams were about to come true.

Since then she has played every night in the concert hall,

along with her favorite musicians and talented friends.

  • I like this because of how it shows that patience is a virtue and the power of prayer is real!We just need to believe in ourselves and our creator(s)and then bad things would stop happening. That is TRUE too.The only reason ANYONE ever gets hurt is betrayed trust and lost faith.Losing ones' true self is also a killer and will bring nightmares into our reality!I LOVE your writes Jeremy! They inspire and bring forth truth and emotions. That nobody can deny! You're one amazingly talented person with a great heart and a wonderful mind!Keep doing what you do best...that must be our purpose(that which we are best at)

    Your poem is very inspirational…

You told a story in an elegant heartfelt way, your words beaming from your heart, I felt like this girl even though ordinary could dream and accomplish almost anything. I read your story and I feel like miracles are out there, for everyone lays a hidden talent only to be discovered and tamed by your passion.

A Dramatic emotional piece left me in deep thoughts of life, dreams and music.
