Have you ever noticed
The endless repetition
Of human nature
We spin, swirl, weave,
Our meaningless stories,
To complete the tired cycle of life.
Have you ever noticed
How much we try to define
What we feel, what we think,
Words, conversation, communications,
Incompletely working
To project the values of our mind.
Have you ever noticed
That everyone hides behind their own walls
Whether they be made of
Timber, paper, steel,
Either way successfully shielding true character
From other interchangeable, egotistical eyes.
Have you ever noticed
The numbness that floods you
When your consciousness least expects it
Leaving you empty
To feel, struggle, drown,
In the monotonous fight we rage daily
To stay human.
Have you ever noticed
The girl with fixed blank eyes
Sitting in the sea of people,
All alone, thinking,
Why we try, live, die,
When greed runs the human conscience.
Have you noticed
Her tragedy,
The corruption she was born with,
The horrific curse she was blessed with,
Demonic conscientious transactions
Capable of one life altering existence:
Thought.
She folds into herself
Desperately seeking the meaning
Of this sad existence we call life
And the point
Of living
When you’re surrounded by carnivorous gluttony
And people manipulated by its verdant claws
Have you ever noticed her?
Have you noticed…
Have you?
Author notes
I was in a writing mood, and just started typing. My fingers grew a mind of their own.
It was meant to kind of not make sense, yet make sense at the same time, if that makes any sense.
Honesty is always appreciated

You should let your fingers run your keyboard more often. This is a very powerful piece and so full of truth. I really liked the first and fourth stanzas. All were great, but those two in particular really gripped me. Another excellent poem
