How do you live your life?
Are you the type only in tune with the day?
Ready to pounce anything with a hole, suggesting
the vacuum if a soldier breeches defenses?
How about the farsighted flake?
Always chasing the perfect life but failing
to grasp the perfect moments in the now?
Do you walk knowing there is a God above?
Awaiting the burning fields to consume
any sinner that doesn't meet your standards?
Could you be the pessimist in the corner?
Waiting to point at the "wrong" when we
wither into the nothingness of your paradise?
But does it really matter who we are?
Don't we all just lay in the ground, or
do we get our episodic re-run first?
Do i get to be born back home again?
Struggle through high school's charades?
Just to end up right back here again?

That is a wonderful question to pose Brett. I really enjoyed this poem. It kind of made me re-think how I'm living my own life. There is a depth to this poem that I value a lot. So many people on here just write poetry about how their lives suck, and I get sick of reading it. You should post on here more often! Nice job. Keep writing bud!
