With ripples on lakes and flakes of melting snow
The night was magic, as he took to row,
Music twined with the moving breeze,
I was losing myself in tranquil seas,
All was calm by the country side
Just he and me, in that stolen ride.
On lapis waters, we saw her glide
Gentle and mild, floating with pride,
I saw him tune the oars with grace
~ a glimpse behind the bygone race..
The sky above with multitude of stars
I felt, the world was mine, that night was ours.
The poet drenched in blissful showers,
Fantasy reigning those golden hours;
On the moonlit lake, he sailed his way
Leaving behind the hills, willow trees grey..
An endless sail, a timeless gift
From the worldy thoughts, a hushed drift.
I could see them still, that dreamy sight
Sailing with the poet on a winter's night..
Author notes
Just a wild imagination.. when fantasies break free.. sailing with Wordsworth in his stolen boat..
WOW.. I enjoyed this..
