You see that girl?
You've known her for a while.
She's happy, right? No.
Look behind the smile.
Behind the smile lies, in pain,
a young woman with a broken heart.
and no one can tell that behind that smile
lies someone who's falling apart.
She's all grins and giggles when you see her.
But really, she's wimpers and tears.
She's secretly made fun of,
and she talking, but know one hears.
But you don't know that, my friend,
for you only look on the outside.
Search the soul and search deeper,
and you'll find that she's living a lie.
She's not really happy
when she laughs and jumps around.
In her heart, she is weeping
without the slightest sound.
For she loves someone,
loves them a whole lot.
But she is faced with the tragedy that
is: He loves her not.
She cries when no one's looking,
she screams, but no one can hear.
She'll never gain control
of this life she's trying to steer.
She drew herself a path of life,
but she's slowly breaking away
to unknown, helpless territory
little by little each day.
And soon she'll be in total darkness;
the light in her heart is fading fast.
And she can't steal happiness from another time
or go back to her joyous past.
So you know that girl?
The one you've known for a while?
To put it simply, she's breaking down
behind that "happy" smile.

Your poem is very simple and tells its story in a straight forward way. No way to miss your meaning. And it gives good advice. Broken people need contact.
