Lost the plot !

Write in rhyme you say, about a naughty child
We have one of them, she really drives me wild
The battle begins when the alarm does buzz
I stretch and yawn trying to clear mind of fuzz

Oh please may she get up with minimal fuss
So I don't need to rant, rave, abuse and cuss
How hard can it be to get out of her bed
My sanity holding by thinnest of thread

"Who drew on my monitor?", was my question
" It wasn't me" she said, without expression
"Well WHO did it?" I said "Maybe it's the cat"
I'm sick of these daily games and combat

"I accidently broke the door" she did say
On one hinge it hung, as I looked in dismay
"Accidently my arse" I think were my words
I wish I could just fly away with the birds

A "TYPICAL KID" is what some like to quote
Tell THEM not to want to place hands round her throat
God give me the strength and patience I'm craving
Each day I pray for an angel behaving.

    Poor you

I bet you anything that she deliberately tests you to see how far she can push your buttons. Step children can be very clever when it comes to that. Well done.

Try ignoring her. LOL maybe she will find that totally frustrating and stop trying to take you on.
  • My sympathies go out to you . A great tale of life with a disgruntled teenager...only a few more years to go

All the best in the contest...Sue

    • I'd advise you not to have kids UNLESS you are sure you are ready for it. My own daughter was pretty much the same as this one and I thought I was WELL AND TRULY OVER IT. Thank you for your comment and applause. I really apprectiate it
  • Oh hun you are such a wonderful person to put up with all this, but it's sure not good for your health You've been through enough and deserve the best hun.

            doc
  • I've seen the chaos she can create in your home and I think your words were rather understated sis

We've talked about this and I honestly think that both you and Bevan are the most amazing parents to still be giving all your love and attention where it isn't always appreciated or welcome. The fact that your sense of humour still shines through is a sign of the type of people you are.

I love the three of you so much and hope that one day, before you tear out too much more hair, things will improve for you.

Best of luck in the contest sis.

    All my love
    Margaret

    • Understated is an understatement but if I'd gone into too much detail I'd probably have sent the contest holder into therapy

As you said...at least I DO still have my sense of humour, although some days it's buried pretty deep and is the cause of my recent loss of muse

I truly appreciate your wonderful comment, support and encouragement...Oh yeah and the happy clappies

Thanks so much sis. Love you and miss you .

I can feel your pain.lol You have made my skin crawl. This is part of the reason I won't have any. Best of luck in the contest.
    • I thought I wouldn't have to go there AGAIN either. My own daughter was a carbon copy of this one
She's off my hands now tho and I thought all was just fine and dandy...WRONG !!

I appreciate your comment. Thank you for taking the time to read my poem
