Laying here,
Not knowing when next I'll be here,
Longing for your touch yet;
Watching your chest rise and fall;
As you sleep away the labours of the day,
Tears roll down my cheeks as I remember;
Tomorrow I leave and return to,
That place that is meant to be home,
Reminded of the perils that await,
The brother that torments;
Kills my spirit and shares himeself...
I lay here longing to stay forever,
knowing that my home is here; with you,
I continue to watch as you twitch,
Asking you questions and hearing;
that cute muffled answer,
I never can make out what you say.
Meandering through these final hours,
In lovers eyes I watch you rest,
Clear is my head of all negative thoughts,
Hearing your gentle breaths of slumber,
Along with the snuffles of a distant dream,
Endlessly wishing this time wouldn't end
Leaving you here... I'll return soon, back to you...
Where I belong.
