Growing

Your voice is my yearning for an interlude
Your face brings my senses to it's knees
I long to walk together in tomorows cast of truth
And I wish that it was you walking with me

A body of posession is lacking tonight
You cannot touch a heart so far away
But in the quiet dark my daydreams come to light
And my visions of you always seem to stay

My days are my only gift of freedom
We talk and argue through the empty space
I think that this is wrong, I know that this is dumb
But I just can't resist your picture face

I can't resist the urge to sit and listen
I try, but I always turn it on
I work and I wonder all throughout the day
Why does this have to be so wrong

Could this be my time to keep on growing
These memories and fantasies, set free
Or am I being selfish with my groaning
Because I want what I want to be

It is always difficult to shed our skin and live without skin until it grows back. We feel vulnerable and unfamiliar. But, lobsters, crabs, crayfish, snakes and lizards all do it. They seem to thrive. Don't sweat it. Sometimes when we look at what used to be black and white lines through a microscope, all we see is gray. Have some bunnies.
