dancing in faceless crowds
moving & feeling the warmth of other's skin
as sweat races down my face
illuminated by all the colors of the lights above
the pinks, blues and yellows
music pounds in my ears
and pushes my heartbeat; faster, faster
letting go, and giving my all
here, no one knows me.
and the rhythm carries me away
i don't think, or breathe
until it's necessary to take a breath
and hold it in again
i feel every limb tire of movement
but i dance on, nonetheless
energy running out,
but my brain and the blood rush
push me on in my ecstatic impulse
nothing can stop me now

"here, no one knows me.
and the rhythm carries me away"
I've felt this, on occasion. You definitely captured the feeling of this type of dancing. I love that last line, it really ties the poem and moment together and makes it relateable to anyone who has ever put their all into dancing, just for the beat and the sensation.
Well penned.

I most definitely do like this. Captures the feeling of the moment very well. In my opinion though, the last line is a bit cliche for this poem. Thank you for entering my contest and good luck.
