A child reborn unto the night
ages hidden from the light
Dreamed he it was all a nightmare
that in the day's light was no ill to bare
His picture reminiscent of Anne Rice's Lestat De Lioncourt
his Queen did make him tremble
the blood of men they did feast
pleads of mercy became a ramble
She told him if he drank her blood
he could live in the light.
His eyes would change, no more sting
to see regardless of light or night.
His Queen now gone from this world
his boundries he cast a sunder.
His will to explore the upper daylight sod
To see or be sent down-under.
To his surprise, before his eyes
he was not turn to ashes;
Butterflies came to bear him homeward
lest he be given lashes.

20 lines. This picture reminded me vaguely of my fave movie and novel (Anne Rice's QUEEN OF THE DAMNED)

Hmmmm. I hope you don't mind me saying, but a lot of this sounded a bit awkward. And for those of us who do not know the moving *raises hand* it becomes a bit difficult to comprehed the image you were trying to display. The only bit that I found really linked to the poem was the last stanza. The rhyme was a bit eh with ashes and lashes, I found that made it a harder read. Thank you for entering though, it's good for me to read different styles of writing =D
