As if the angels plucked the golden stars
And spread them on earth, one by one with care,
'neath the sunlit sky, a golden flare
A cascade of daffodils on the hilly square..
That was where, the lords and ladies danced
Cheering with joy, fully tranced..
Hopping amidst the daffodil blooms
As if the flowers were maids and raindrops, their grooms
They sang aloud, as it drizzled slight..
Clouds were jealous, they guessed; hoping to be right ~
For that's their paradise, their land of delight
Where Daffodils and violets, blossomed bright..
As if the angels spread the golden stars
"The skies ~ our own, the world is ours.."
They sang their song with bells to trite..
Aloud they sang, as it drizzled slight..

good
I like it, I can almost smell the flowers.

-
too trite...
Rhyming couplets are generally pleasing. Sure, this is pure fantasy. It looks like a gentle riot of spring in illustration and images.
Thank you for entering.

Wonderful rhyme in this beautiful daffodil land. One of my favorite flowers for its strength sturdiness.
Well done. I think to in the second to last line should be too.
Best of luck in the judging. ~Pamela
