Poor old Humpty, what a sin
He's been drinking too much Gin
New laid egg without a yolk
Poor old humpty, an old soak.
Humpty sat upon the wall
Reeling, he was bound to fall
Trying not to spill a drop
He fell off his only prop.
Horses came and the Kings men
Tried to fill his glass again
But in falling it was cracked
Poor old Humpty, he was sacked.
If you sit upon that wall
Make sure that your drink is small
Leave the Gin and turn to wine
Make sure that the large one's mine.

Thank you for your entry in our contest. A very amusing poem that was a joy yo read, rhyme scheme is excellent, but by the last stanza your flow and meter have lost something, other than that, a good poem.
All the best ... Sue and Jeff
