The gardener planted a seed in the ground
It spread it roots through the earth
From heaven tears of rain tumbled down
Over time a sapling burst through the dirt
Nurtured and feed through its deep roots
The trunk began to spread and become strong
Branches extended outward yielding many fruits
Birds of pleasure came to sing their song
Black root disease struck the tree
Killing it from the inside out
The creator placed man upon the earth
He gifted him with morals to feed his soul
He placed in his heart high value and worth
Feed by love, the man remained strong and whole
His children spread all over the land
Love, peace, patience prevailed over evil
Yet over time children forgot God's command
Morality was considered too primeval
The disease of sin struck the earth
Killing mankind from the inside out
