Just like you wanted, I left you forever.
Just like the winter, my patience melted.
Even though I'll never forget or forgive you, I've moved on.
The new house is so full of charm.
You would envy my gorgeous replacement.
The girls are in love.
Wales has the most beautiful morning doves.
You would faint at the view I have of the mountains.
I can sip my hot coffee and watch hawks fly.
I can watch the birds land on the lake in front me.
It's simply beautiful here.
So I must thank you in a sick, strange way.
You helped me to move to a peaceful place.
I am grateful for what I was able to find.
The house in the mountains was a steal, a gift from on high.
You would gasp at the price.
Only a million US dollars, boy!

Still have that brownstone in the Heights?
And to think that you could hurt me out of spite!
Ha! It's laughable.
You didn't scare me out of the country, Kev.
No, you helped me make it on time to that midnight flight.
The girls were wide awake with the excitement.
They pushed and shoved, wanting to get a seat by the cockpit.
It was sweet watching them sleep on the way to a new life.
Their aunt was so happy to see them.
Thanks to you, this was the first time.
She's the one you'll thank for finding me such a sweet deal on a house so fast.
She was the real estate agent who helped me show up your ass!
But hey, I'm done with the gloating.
It's unbecoming.
I'm just going to unpack and move on.
I know it's the right thing.
You have fun in New York.
I'll come back one day.
I'll miss the city and home you made me give away.

I just moved to Wales, UK. I had no choice but to leave the United States. I felt that moving to a place that I've loved all my life was the only way I could be happy, that my girls could feel at peace. My sister, Christine, helped me to find and purchase a gorgeous house in the mountains of Wales and I am grateful for this.

This poem was absolutely astounding!The words and the background you chose...all magnificent!You're talent is one that could not be easily challenged...if you entered ANY contest the others you'd face should just call it quits and just give you the prize and the title of winner!Glad you've moved on and were able to see that in some weird way we CAN look at a bad situation in a positive light...if we so choose.

loved it i to miss new york city even know i live in cleveland now th city will always be my home and even now you moved the city will always be urs 2 i liked how you moved on and you said ur gurls were so happy thats prob one of the best feelings to see ur kids happy but again loved the poem please keep up the great wonderful writeing
