A random dream is
better than an expected nightmare
and the more they talk about
the world, the harder it gets
to believe it was ever good,
that there really is a knowable God
who isn't hidden behind a bloody rainbow
allowing a paradox to make us look foolish;
we need that spontaneity again
the raw flow of thoughts and images
voices that can intuitively discern
which break the pattern, the habit
the cycle of an abusively vocal
staged and mixed- up world.
not sure about the O'Reilly factor

Fear not,it's just as real and alive as ever. It's only fear its self distorting visionary ideas.Shake off the fog of complacency that drones along. And yes,O'Reilly is an expected nightmare that drones. Ha! You've versafied the rut most of us are finding ourselves in lately.I've said to a friend. "Lets do something even if it's wrong!" Just out of humdrum stale antsyness.Thank you Cookie for this.It decries something I couldn't of expressed about my own thoughts and well.

Oh, suseann. You always have such fantastic interpretations and responses that add to my poetry... making it more poetic than originally written. I want to thank you for singling out and replying in such fashion that it is poetry in itself.

Glad you 'got it'.

I love this one. I really really do. The start was very good and it made me read whole the poem. Great job and great subject.
Keep writing
