You take my words
from the page
before I write
you wash the blues
from my sky
The new leaves of spring
are hidden by the blossom
and bright daisies
mask each lawn
fresh paint shines on every wall
and every beautiful lady
is a bride
when we talk
the colour drains
from my face
and my glowing embers
burst into the brightest flame
when I see you
my soul is bleached
and pure
My white lady
my lily
my rose.

I wasn't able to make this contest, but to read this poem is so satisfying to me...because you wrote it, and because you met up to the challenge so beautifully. I love this. Love, Lane
