I listen to what they say
And let it sink in
It goes deep in side me
Killing me within
Slowly, but surely
Sucking the life out of me
But there to clueless and
Selfish to see
Sticks and stones may
Break my bones, but words
They still do hurt
Fill up in my bottled up emotions
Making me feel like dirt
My razor makes the pain go away
At least until the next day
These things people say
They don’t realize there might
Be a price to pay
Lives, one or two
Maybe there or four
You’ll never know
Maybe even more
One little word
Skank, slut, or bitch
Could trigger that
Fragile switch
The one that says
“I’ve had enough!
I can’t take this life
It’s just too tough”
One more slash of
That razor blade
And then it all
Begins to fade
And there one life goes
From silly word that flow and flow
Is there a lesson
Here to learn
Some valuable morals
Some sense to earn
Think before you talk,
Watch what you say
Because that could be
Someone’s last living day
