A song by Kazy (1983)
Early morning sunrise,
Arrives after moonlight,
And I sit on my balcony,
Just my lover and me,
Moonlit garden silhouetted trees,
Morning sunlight buzzing bees,
Flowers line the overgrown lawn,
Next door trees are being saw.
Chorus : Moonlight sunlight,
Changing day and night
Changing atmosphere,
Ever changing air.
Wrought iron railings,
Carved wood turnings,
Make the balcony Victorian,
Pleasurable to sit upon,
High up in the trees,
Freedom always spirit frees,
Imagination wanders away,
Time for thought does not delay.
Chorus (as above)
Breezy nights here,
The sunny days appear,
Scents of roses linger,
Lazy feelings I malinger,
Composing songs to sing,
Like a free bird does sing,
Circling round everyday life,
Things that happen day and night.
Chorus (as above)
Herbs growing down below,
Flowering tops a colour show,
Cats meander through the the tall grass,
Towards the owners humble flats,
And I sit on my balcony,
Writing songs and poetry,
Admiring mother nature,
And all she has to offer.
Chorus (as above)
Love and letting nature,
Take its course a picture,
Information biology,
Inspirational analogy,
Art is in everything,
Music in the birds that sing,
Listening to the melody,
Free in mind and body.
Chorus (as above)
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
We see as we get older,
Nature is much infinate,
We are so fortunate,
For we are all part of life,
Child for woman as his wife,
Nature re-cycling itself,
Dancing circles like a garden elf.
Chorus (as above) (sung twice)
Ever changing air.

Author notes
I wrote this back in 1983 when I was lead singer song writer in the 4th band I was in back in the "Merseybeat" era of Liverpool.
I lived in the same house as Peter De Freitas (formerly of "Echo and the Bunnymen"), in fact when Peter moved out I moved into his flat whilst mine was being renovated and I wrote this song sitting on the balcony of that very flat looking out onto a magnificent Victorian garden in an old Victorian house in Liverpool UK's Sefton park area.
I used to sing this song at the "Larks in the Park" 3 day live music events actually held in Sefton park itself.

Kaz, thats brilliant !! Do you have a recording of it ? Or even music/chords to go with it ?
Could be a laugh to get it listened to again !

Wow thanks for the review Tom!
Thanks millions for your fab review Tom, so glad you liked it.
Only recording I might still have somewhere in amongst millions of archive boxes in my shed, is a very old crackly casette taped recording of my singing it with the band in a jamming session in a band members basement where we used to practice, but its a monotonous piece since they never varied the tune, it was just a jamming thing.
It was very Steelye Span or Enya sort of stuff really Marie Brenhan sort of voice on me, and very new age folk sort of genre, dreamy echoe-mic sort of thing. Flute and guitars, drums, keyboard get the idea? Waterboys and Leonard Cohen... that sort of ambiance.
We were all at University together so it was a sort of new age hippy sort of band.
C chord was the main one, just a bit of fun.
I will see if I can root it out, but it could be literally anywhere now, buried in any one of many hundred boxes... sigh...those were the days. I really miss singing and songwriting. I started out as a voice impersonator!
Meanwhile thanks Millions for reading this and for your kind words and inspiration, you are amazing.
Poetic Hugs,
Kaz.
