Pop Tarts
And
Brandied coffee
Make stormy Sunsets
Even more appealing
As Southern Living
Fortifies ones soul
Like a breakfast of
Buttered grits
Washed down slowly
By Southern Pecan coffee
Hustle and bustle of
Concrete Manhattan
Replaced by slow lingering
Of old Oaks Longing
Festooned with Spanish moss
For it is good
To be alive
In Georgia
Author notes
dedicated to Laney's life style
It was mine as a youth...and glorious
Georgia, the loveliest of States
Please tell me what you think

Nice! Made me hungry tho
Beautiful imagery, you have portrayed the place wonderfully. I have to ask tho, seen the word around quite a bit...what are grits? Here its the loose stones on a road, not something you'd want to butter
~sigh, certainly wish I was there!

Oh, what a beautiful poem
to make one wish to be in
Georgia, or glad they are there.
