For John
You live in your head
I live in my heart
It’s what keeps us
Apart,
For you, love,
Is a measuring tool
For me,
I wear it every day
On my sleeve
The proverbial fool
I constantly grieve
Transparency;
You can look
Right through me
And I’ll never pretend
Nor take from you
What you perceive
Or believe
Or defend
To be true
We’re so close
We’re so far
But that’s the way
That things are,
The difference is only
In the perception
We are travelling in
The same direction
For, whoever I am
And whoever you are,
We are both
Following her;
No matter how long
Or how far
There will always
And only be
One Star

for she shall always be the one only star...the difference in love and its effects upon...yet two hearts but only one...such a feeling of sadness and yet a going on with memories to carry...sighs...i do love reading your words
