can you hear me?
I am talking - I am breathing - don’t you see -
the words I form as my lips move
are slowly suffocating me.
they each have tiny tendrils
of an innocent black lie,
that squeeze small chunks of sanity
from my incubated mind.
-understanding - standing – falls -
in retrospect
our lips were soiled
by the fantasy of dark.

Very delightful. I think we all have those moments when we're like "IS THIS THING ON?" It's sometimes almost enough to question my very existence.

Delightfully dark. I think you're got a great take on the prompt here, very well defined imagery, lines that flow well.
Thanks for sharing this, all the best in the contest,
Luck. -
