Venomous words meander,
across the salivating ground.
Where Edward’s soul no longer slumbers,
but clamors through the maggots.
Listening to each withering step,
as his queen came further still,
toward the recombinant stone.
From where his molten flesh,
will latch onto her flustered wrist.
Smiting,
engrossing every delectable fiber.
Until all sustenance is retained,
saving his repugnant soul,
from marred purgatory.
Where she will be damned,
her soul shattering,
limbs suffocating,
while her organs wail
smoldering in his place.

Wow; this was dark and gruesome. So well penned.. I really enjoyed your gorey imagery.
Liked these lines best
"Where she will be damned,
her soul shattering,
limbs suffocating,
while her organs wail
smoldering in his place."
Good write & thanks for entering! -
Oh, this is neat indeed. I love the way you gave the deceased a name, gave him a voice, since it made this work feel oddly-personal.
I was sympathetic to the girl in the picture, for you brought her to such life, and I felt like I could have been there myself. Your imagery was brilliant, and you have a great vocab.
Thank you for entering.
