painted October skies
rain down aplenty
oils scratched into
the car surface
flecked like
a gruesome wing of a duck
shallow amongst sea waves
drags a distant shore closer
caught in finality on my canvass
arcing 'neath the sun
staining the pavement sand
the flavour of a new millennium

I favor the first stanza, I must admit. Especially the ending line of the first stanza.
