she finds the heart of beast
endearing to her eyes,
wonders if he was the one
into her bedroom spied
and danced a jig on window frame
while heating up the night
she heard the whisper call her name
yet she didn't get a fright
he asked her if she'd dance
to bubble land with him
where colors are all lollipops
and nothing there is grim
she wagged a chubby finger
and chuckled at his question
did he realize just how big she was
or was the door too small to mention
the dragon pranced and giggled
saying she would be alright
for bubble land is in her dreams
when she goes to sleep at night

Well, can I say NEATO!!! It seems both...legendary, creepy, frightening (to the child, not to me--nothing scares me muahahahaha!! Okay, that was a lie) & cool.

This is so sweet and light and adorable. I might just think of this when I go to bed tonight. It reminds me of Peter Pan, almost; the mythical creature coming to the window with promises to whisk away the girl into a land of magic. I like it a lot!
