Entering your mind
Step with caution, tread with care-
Know of the dangers.
The things you see as useless
could be the most important.
Unskilled shaking hands
Aren't sure of where to cut-
Take much more of life;
Kill some things that should remain.
Your eyes are still too clouded.
Leave it to the soul
To purge the weakness from you-
Cleanse with falling tears;
Find a way to make you whole
And take you from your darkness.
Author notes
Thought I'd try out form poetry some more. This poem is composed of three tanka, which are syllable count 5, 7, 5, 7, 7. Yay for Japanese form!
