from Senators, like predators
No way to contend with'em
Letters that we're sendin'em
Those aren't even bendin'em
If they're even gettin'em
Truth is, we're just lettin'em
Walk on all our dreams
Sit back and watch America
Come apart at the seams
Entranced by the smiles
Politicians can gleam
Convinced by all their guile
To go along with their schemes
More concerned with following
Our favorite sports teams
Holdin' all the wrong people
In the highest esteem
But in a two party system
