god

god bless me for hating religion
and god bless the sinners who don't seek forgiveness
god bless the racists
god, stop the hatred
god, forgive the minorities
god, know that I'm sorry

god, be brave
honesty has an angelic face
I'll learn from all the mistakes I've made
but I can never really be saved

god, these cigarettes are burning holes in me
god, I've never heard of morality
god, don't judge me by my sexuality
god, learn to welcome individuality

god, baby jesus is all grown up
god, I don't know how to be tough
god, the bible is all bullshit
god, if the truth is there I can't see it

god, all the cops are pigs
god, adam and eve didn't mean it
god, stop the exodus
god, please help us

god, there's a genocide
god, our military's oversupplied
god, this world is so fucked up
and pretending to help isn't enough

    Speak Your Mind

    I love this poem.
its pure truth, and people that belive in god, will say that they dont agree with this, but they have no facts to say why it isnt true.
be yourself, you dont need gods "acceptance"
    alrite im done ranting =]

I hate how people get so defensive over a religion they don't even truly understand. True Christians Will Not Judge you for what you believe or who you are.
They will love you regardless, without even knowing you. They will try to help you understand the truth- not drag you further from it. And it is because of these selfish hypocrites that all of these people are given false impressions. I often feel like this, even being somewhat of a believer. Since we are not ever going to fully understand we will always just have these sort of doubts- it is customary. And I think God probably understands, you know? He loves us just the way we are, even as flawed as we may be. Just give God a chance and you'll be able to see what I mean. Don't be discouraged by the flaws and fabrications of this filthy world. It will only make you more bitter and self-destructive.
I know you don't really have to listen to me, but I do hope the best for you. Without judgement, I can say I hope you find your own truth (whatever that may be) and hold fast to it.

    AMAZING

I truly loved this. I feel like I've tried so many times to sit down and write this before and couldn't... I understand how unbelievably terrifying it can get sometimes, how fucking simple it all seems! Being young is both a blessing and a curse when the universe you want to play free in is at war. I think you would dig some of my stuff Have a wonderful and saucy day.

    I LOVED IT~!!!!

i like to question things i do not understand... i also love when someone speaks their mind... even against what i believe... though i must admit my god is not a god that everyone believes in... my god is a woman who doesnt make me pay to speak to her... all i have to do is talk... haha.. this piece is powerful in its own right and i am glad to have you as a favorite so i didnt miss it...
    keep it up...

I like it and I don't like it.

As a Christian, of course, I disagree with most of it. I still think it's worth reading, though. It's important to see both sides of an issue even if you already know where you stand.

As a poem, I like how it flows and the repetition. Some of it is a little trite, but sometimes that's hard to avoid when you're working with common themes.

Some parts are good, but other parts are just repeating by rote the same old Bible-hating stuff that everyone spouts these days "god, the bible is all bullshit". Really, did you have to be so unoriginal?
"god, all the cops are pigs" is pretty weak too.

I liked the section where you stopped saying 'god' at the start of every line too, I think you need another one to balance the whole poem, so its not so repetitive. Like a chorus, almost.

Don't worry about it. I'm used to people hating it by now....luckily a few negative responses won't stop me from speaking my mind
      • well I dont hate it, and you need to keep speaking your mind. I like this poem but only because is from your heart.

It's difficult to find, especially with a controvercial piece like this. But I think you did a good job on it.

I would say I'm sorry...but I'm not. Honestly, all I'm doing is expressing myself in my poetry. I have a right to write about what I believe, as you have a right to PROMOTE your beliefs/religion as well. We all feel how we choose to feel about things, and it's very unfortunate that you find my words to be foul, wrong, lies, etc...
I am sorry if I offended you, though. Because that was not my intention.

          haha of course not!
I respect everyones choices to believe in what they want to believe. This is just my choice, and I hope for others to respect that in return.

I respect it. I just don't agree with it. I am sorry I sort of lost it there.
My apologies! I am really sorry. Somtimes I just kind of lose it. Please don't be offended!
