Friendship and love
Forever friends are few and hard to find
Respect is very important in my mind
If that’s not there it won’t last very long
Everyone is different, some are strong
Never the same personality do they share
Dear to me and most I know do care
Some I want to have as long as possible
Having no friends at all would be horrible
I feel blest to have so many in my life
Perhaps they’re here to keep me out of strife.
As for a man in my life, right now there’s no one
Not that I’ve looked, I just wanna have fun.
Divorced and then a few that never worked out
Let nature take it’s course is the motto I shout
Only please send one who will love only me
Visions in my dreams of a special man I see
Enter soon and be my friend while I am free.

A great Acrostic my dear cuz on friendships and how they can turn into love. I know it happened to Heath and me.

Dear Jen, Yes, friends are important and I know some of your good friends helped you through your illness.
As for the men that have been in your life, they weren't meant to be, just concentrate on getting yourself well again.

That would be a good idea...I have a feeling that his loving many women would be a deal breaker.
Ah, an acrostic, I never even noticed. Wow, and the first letters do indeed pertain to the poems topic, I applaud you and will ditto what Margaret said about it not being easy and about liking it.
Guys are pretty much all jerks. Me excluded of course.
I hope you find that one decent one in the bunch.

Friendship has its basis in respect, I agree, and I really like the link with friendship in a love relationship. I hope that you will find a good man to be your friend and more.

A very well done acrostic, Jenelda The lines flow nicely, not seemingly forced. It's hard to do an acrostic so naturally but you've done a very good job. And the expressiveness of it is sincerely expressed.

Dear Jenelda,
Remember that as PERKCAO your quintessential duty
for which the queen has chosen you (not only for your beauty),
is provision of all comforts necessary to the king
and, when he's in a muddle, reorganise everything.
So there's no need for you to go off chasing after men
or risk all the unhappiness of marriage once again.
If you do your duties properly though you are not his wife,
the King will see that you have every comfort in this life.

Friends are very important to me. Having a special man in my life is very important to me, too. I hope a special man will soon be part of your life, too, (although they do take up a lot of time and make us less available to our friends).
