I awoke in the shadows of the morn,
light creeping through the golden mists.
I awoke cold and forlorn
but I knew today would hold a wish.
Open your soul dream walker
the fairies sang unto me.
Open your heart dream walker
you know its just you and me.
I tip-toed into the forest
like a dancer among the trees.
I sang the sweet morning chorus
and the words were a lock without keys
Open your soul dream walker
the fairies sang unto me.
Open your heart dream walker
you know its just you and me.
I came upon the river,
black with blood and tears.
I knew it the giver,
and the answer to my fears.
What do you honestly think?

i really like this poem. it has a very earthly feel and an almost native american tone to it. it sounds like something a grandparent would pass on to their grandchildren. you used metaphors an imagery with great skill, and believe me, thats hard to find. well it has been for me as of late. this write was a very welcome surprise for me to stumble across. its amazing what you will find when you randomly click on a name. i look forward to reading more of your work in the future.
